He started his career as a journalist in 1993 at Gazeta Wyborcza. At the end of 1996, he joined the team of a newly-established economic and business daily Puls Biznesu where he acted as the deputy editor in chief and the founder of its website. Since 2004, professionally connected with Axel Springer Polska publishing house. Between 2006 and 2006, he was the editor in chief of Forbes. Next, for three years, he supervised Newsweek Polska weekly. In 2009 he executed the merger of two major Polish dailies and took the post of the editor in chief of Dziennik Gazeta Prawna (Infor Biznes publishing house). At the beginning of 2011, he established ties with Platforma Mediowa Point-Group publishing house, initially as a manager responsible for the debut of a new, licensed business and economy newspaper – Bloomberg Businessweek Polska. From the beginning of 2012, he was the editor in chief of Wprost for 12 months.
Michał Kobosko is the director of Wrocław Global Forum, coorganized with Atlantic Council, Polski Instytut Spraw Międzynarodowych and the city of Wrocław. Every year the event gathers over 400 entrepreneurs, politicians and social activists who discuss the biggest challenges of the modern world. Since its founding in 2010, Forum has hosted key ministers and parliamentarians, company CEOs and leaders, scientists, advisors, army leaders and media personalities.
