Participant of three Olympic Games, winner of two Olympic medals: bronze (Barcelona 1992), silver (Atlanta 1996). A double world vice-champion (Stuttgart 1993 and Athens 1997), triple European champion (Glasgow 1990, Valencia 1998 (indoor) and Budapest 1998) and Polish champion (1989-2000) for twelve times. During a meeting in Eberstadt, he set a Polish record in high jump that is valid till today: 2,37 m.

Laureate of a number of awards, an athlete many times recognized in the competition of Przegląd Sportowy (1992-1998), awarded with Golden Spikes six times – a prize for the best athlete of the season in Poland. Moreover, a top ten sportsman of the Track and Field News ranking eight times.

During his speeches, he focuses on planning, right strategies, persistence and the strength of the “team spirit”.
